EU & Competition

Competition law is an area which can entail significant risks for companies. We have extensive experience of handling competition law risks and of helping companies across the entire range of EU and competition issues, including the following:

  • advice in conjunction with M&A and joint ventures and the preparation of notifications  to both the Swedish Competition Authority and the European Commission
  • review of whether agreements, collaborations, business strategies and dominant company actions comply with the competition rules
  • court proceedings regarding administrative fines and damages
  • implementation of compliance programmes, where we review the client’s business in order to ensure that it complies with applicable competition rules,
  • state aid; contacts with public authorities and counsel in court proceedings
